NOTICE TO ALL PATIENTS OF BRAY WOMEN’S HEALTH CENTRE

PLEASE READ, PROMPT ACTION REQUIRED

PLEASE DO NOT PHONE THE CLINIC FOR INFORMATION

Dear Patients,

After 40 years working as a GP with a special interest in Women’s Health, I have decided to retire. I say this with very mixed emotions because I have been privileged to always enjoy my work and I have loved the challenge, pleasure and satisfaction of hopefully helping you all over the years.

I have been very fortunate throughout my career, and especially in BWHC, to work alongside an excellent team of staff who have shared my commitment to providing the best possible care. This really has been a team effort, and I can’t thank them enough.

I have seen so many changes in Women’s Health over the years… from contraception being extremely difficult to obtain, to being only for married people etc., through to today when we have so much to offer. I am so proud that menopause has come out of the dark and we have an early medical abortion service which is the envy of many countries!

My retirement unfortunately means that we must close Bray Women’s Health Centre, but the good news is that The Rose Clinic is going to open in the same premises. This clinic will provide the same services as we have (and probably more!) and will be run by Dr. Aoife Nic Shamhrain and Dr. Ciara McKenna. Aoife and Ciara are both experienced GPs with special interest in Women’s Health and they are both accredited menopause specialists. I know your health will be in very safe hands and I’m very confident that you will like them both very much.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU NOW DO ONE OF THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS TO ENSURE CONTINUITY OF YOUR HEALTHCARE.

  1. To transfer your medical records to The Rose Clinic please print and complete the consent form using the button below. Then please sign it and then either email, post or drop in to BWHC. Alternatively, you can complete the form in the clinic. Our email address is health@nullbraywomenshealthcentre.iePlease do this before November 30th 2024

  2. If you would like your medical records transferred to another GP, you need to go to that GP, sign a transfer of records form and ask them to healthmail to us. The address is braywomenshealthcentre.gp@nullhealthmail.iePlease do this before November 30th 2024

Please note, legally we require written signed consent to transfer your records. An email is not sufficient.

Appointments and follow-up consultations at The Rose Clinic can be arranged directly through their website at www.roseclinicbray.ie.

My last day in the clinic, along with Amanda, Fran, Lana and Louise will be Friday December 13th.

Thank you all for the trust and confidence you have placed in me over the years. It has been my absolute pleasure to look after you and I wish you every health and happiness in the future.

Warmest wishes, Gillian (McCutcheon)
