We Provide Vasectomies in Dublin
What is a Vasectomy?
A Vasectomy is a permanent and irreversible form of contraception. It involves a minor surgical procedure, performed under local anaesthetic in the majority of cases.
During the operation a small incision is made on each scrotum and the two tubes carrying the sperm are cut and blocked. You will still have a normal amount of ejaculate but it will not contain any sperm.
A vasectomy does not affect your ability to have sexual intercourse or your sexual desire.
Vasectomies in the Bray Women’s Health Centre are carried out by Catherine Riordan. Catherine is a trained surgeon, working in the field of Urology and she has been performing vasectomies for 25 years. Catherine is proud of her high success rate and low complication rate. Nurse Maureen Cosgrave assists with the vasectomy. Catherine and Maureen have been a team for many years, performing vasectomies in several locations.
Before you finally commit to a vasectomy we will ask you to come in for an information session with a Doctor. Ms. Riordan believes that this session is every bit as important as surgical technique. It means that you fully understand the procedure and gives you a chance to ask any questions. Vasectomy is a big decision for every individual and couple and we want to ensure that you have no regrets.
